The Rothley Image
Many people pass through Rothley in various ways. We are on a major bus route, people from surrounding villages come here by car to shop, with all our houses we have many visitors, they come for visitor attractions such as the Great Central Railway and our history, they worship at our four churches, come to events at the Rothley Centre and, most important, all the residents see some part of it every day.
How do others see our village? How do we see it? Or, have we just become so used to being here that we do not really give it any thought? How many weeds have you got tucked into the front wall on the pavement side? You might be so familiar with them that they do not register as untidy but visitors and lots of residents see it very differently.
A small team in Rothley does care about how the village presents itself and I hope that the following might encourage others to 'do their bit' just outside their wall or even further afield.
