The Pageant of Rothley 1977
The Historical Pageant of Rothley was a production by the villagers of Rothley and the support of neighbouring villages as part of Rothley's celebration of our Queen's Silver Jubilee.
It was hosted by Mr and Mrs T.C. Wormleighton in the grounds of their property the Rothley Court Hotel on the evenings of Monday and Tuesday 6th and 7th June 1977.
The pageant told the story of Rothley from B.C.55-A.D.1900 from Julius Caeser to Queen Victoria. The Scene was set in The Town Street of Rothley. It was researched, scripted and produced by Rodney Offley.
From an original programme the names of those involved are recorded here as part of our history.
