SITE 277 FARNHAM BRIDGE FARM FIELD
Date: 2nd April 2007
The greatest feature of this field is the amount of Marsh Marigold growing in big clusters. It is the best site in Rothley for this lovely wild flower due to the boggy conditions by the River Soar.
The River Soar towpath runs through here so making the riverbank easily accessible. This is an excellent site for Banded Demoiselle which emerges from the bankside vegetation in great numbers.
