There is a track down the side of 93 Swithland Lane and this is shown on the1885 map with a line of trees so I was keen to look at them. There are seven trees along the track with six set in a hawthorn hedgerow, the seventh is by the house with the hedgerow replaced by fencing. Trees 573 and 578 are Ancient Trees and four others are over 3m. All are oaks.
This tree line runs down to Pond 2 Site 109 Roadside Field.
The field is used as a horse paddock and divided off by tapes. There is also an entrance from The Ridings.
At the time of our visit it was very wet following a great deal of rain but this is not a well-draining field.
There are some smaller trees in the hedgerows.
