SITE 256 TEMPLE MEADOW
There is no public access to this field.
Date:21st October 2006
This is a lovely setting bordered on one boundary by the Rothley Brook with Great Close Spinney on part of another boundary.
Along the boundary with the brook there is good vegetation for wildlife.
There is an ancient Oak Tree 563 with a girth of 4.1m which was once part of a hedgerow which was removed close to the brook.
Brian would like to know if this was once a Water Meadow due to its position and the lie of the land.
