SITE 206 BARN CLOSE

OS REF:SK577113

OS REF:SK577113

Date: 12th May 2004

This field was originally three fields and there are two mature oaks, which were in the original hedgerows. There is the remains of a brick built barn by the top boundary with a large pond site adjacent, which is now overgrown and unrecognisable as a pond.

The field is arable and the trees will have to be recorded when there is access through the crop.

13th April 2005

One of the trees measured Tree 519 with a girth of 3.3 metres. The other has still to be done.

20th April 2005

The other tree now measured with a girth of 3.6m. Like tree 519, this tree is also on an old field boundary which would have been removed to increase field size. For some reason the tree details were filed in another place so not until December 2008 has it been given a tree number of Tree 615. Better late than never!
