A Purple Beech was planted in 2003 to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. It is on the bottom boundary of the school play ground and it will be interesting to see how it survives. It measured 13cm in girth on the day of our visit.
In 2007 the school grounds had a 'makeover' when a new wildlife area was created to the rear of the school.
Site 175 Copper Beech Tree 156 with a girth of 13cm was planted to commemorate Golden Jubilee Year 2003. Planted by Deputy Head Ralph Wood and assisted by pupils Billy Reynolds, William Rowell, Guy Whittalker, Lee Mawby, Carys Reynolds and Hannah Mawby. June 2003

THE SCHOOL WAS DEMOLISHED IN 2016 AND HOUSES BUILT. THE COPPER BEECH DID NOT SURVIVE.
