SITE 153 BRICKYARD MINERAL FIELD

OS REF:SK566133

OS REF:SK566133

There is no public access to this field.

Date: 2nd April 2003

This field has the disused Mineral Line, Site 154, running alongside one of its boundaries. The boundary with the Roadside Field Site 151 contains a good selection of trees which have been measured and are Trees 123-133 in this survey. There are also three other Trees 121, 122 and 134 at this site. It was a lovely sunny day and there were six Twin-spot Ladybirds on tree 121, these are the ones with shiny black wing cases and orange spots.

Tree 134 is in a very bad state and is on the edge of the Mineral Line.

This field is grazed pasture and a further visit will be needed to look at the flora.
