Rothley Ancient Temple Survey (RATS)

KNOWN AS 'RATS'

Following on from the Rothley Ancient Parish Survey (RAPS) Terry Sheppard, Brian Verity and Marion Vincent decided to look at the Rothley Temple Extra Parochial Detached Parish Boundaries and carry out recording in the same format.

There are seven separate areas to be looked at when time permits!

In 2017 the village website was updated with the recording and the following note was made:

It was a very ambitious undertaking but two important areas were recorded. As you get older it gets tougher carrying all your equipment to the site and doing commando rolls under electric fences! Perhaps, one day, another historian might just be interested in the history of Rothley to complete our pioneering RATS.
