Sergeant 956819 Ronald Leslie Rodwell

Air Gunner with 7 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve

Killed in action on the 7th August 1942 aged 21 years.

Son of Joseph and Gertrude Rodwell.


Originally buried in Dusseldorf North Cemetery Sergeant Rodwell was re-buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Kleve, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany on the 3rd December 1946 with the other members of the crew.

Sgt Rodwell was killed with all crew members in Stirling 1 R9154 MG-F on Operation Duisburg. Take off 0100 from Oakington. Crashed at Huthum, 3 km NW of Emmerich, Germany. All the crew were buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.
