MINUTES 3RD JANUARY 1946
This evening and on January 1st we had more rehearsing. Now everything is almost perfect except for parts of one or two parts!
We finished up with Prayers followed by spinning the bread plate with forfeits.
The tickets for the Concert have arrived and have been allocated to the members. As yet we haven't got the programmes.

MINUTES 10TH JANUARY 1946
Rehearsals again on the 8th and 10th. The success of the Concert seems assured, All the tickets have been distributed and already about 75% have been sold. The Vicar seems to think that it will be a "good show".
On the 10th we went through almost all the items scheduled-now they have all been properly rehearsed at least two or even three times.

MINUTES 12TH JANUARY 1946

CONCERT DRESS REHEARSAL
On the afternoon of the Concert, we had intended to have a Children's Matinee of the Concert, but the kids didn't turn up. We got six, but a few came in the evening, so we did the whole concert. It was a jolly good dress rehearsal and without it the concert wouldn't have gone quite so well.

CONCERT
"PLEASURE PIE"
The Rothley Youth Club Concert was held in the Village Hall on Saturday, January 12th 1946 at 7.30p.m. It was on behalf of the Rothley Parish Church Diocesan Fund for which £12:14s:0d was raised.
The show was compered this year by Geoff Rochester with "between the scenes" interruptions by Willie Cook and Stanley Fletcher.

MINUTES 17TH JANUARY 1946
This evening after private discussions about the Concert by which we raised £12.14s for the Diocesan Fund, we had a "Double or Quits Quiz" with forfeits instead of cash. This was a success.
Then we had the Re-election:-

We finished the evening with prayers as usual.

MINUTES 24TH JANUARY 1946
This evening we had a General Meeting to discuss the future happenings of the Club.
The rules were read.
It was decided to invite someone to speak to us.
To have a party with Quorn Y.P.F. as the visitors.
To keep to a programme every week.
After this, we played games-the good old games with one addition.
We finished with our little service taken by the Vicar.

P.S. On Tuesday last (22/1/'46) we gave a repeat performance of part of the Concert at the Mountsorrel Choral Society's Social which was held at the Methodist Room, Mountsorrel.

MINUTES 31ST JANUARY 1946
According to reports-I wasn't present at this meeting-the meeting was enjoyed by the majority.
There was a session of General Conversation followed by games inevitably-"Consequences" was one of the games played.
Prayers rounded off the evening.
The Vicar impressed upon the Club that something serious must be done soon !! Really we should do something serious every other week or even every week. We just can't go on endlessly playing games!
