Minutes February 1946

MINUTES 7TH FEBRUARY 1946

This evening we started with a General Discussion about the Dance we are holding in aid of the Choir Fund. Dennis Taylor, L.R.A.M., Choir Master was present to receive our ideas.
The Dance is to be held in the Village Hall on March 1st from 7.45p.m. to 12.0 midnight.
The price of admission 2s. with refreshments extra. The "Gregorians" Dance Band has been engaged.
For the rest of the evening "Murder" was played.
No prayers this evening, as the Vicar was in bed with something or other, 'flu, I think!

MINUTES 14TH FEBRUARY 1946

We started with a Quiz conducted by Sheila followed by a repeat of a Menu Quiz which was new to most of the members.
Then Dennis Taylor dished out the tickets for the forthcoming dance.
Only about 14 members were present this evening-not a very good attendance.
We finished with the Service as usual.

MINUTES 21ST FEBRUARY 1946

Instead of a usual meeting this evening the Club went to the Sunday School Teachers' Social in the Village Hall.

MINUTES 28TH FEBRUARY 1946

This evening final arrangements were made for to-morrows Dance. So far we've sold £8 worth of admission tickets, so we stand a good chance of making a good profit.
A few games were played.
The Service rounded off yet one more meeting of the Rothley Youth Club.
