More rehearsals-it looks as though the concert will be very good by the number of rehearsals we are having.
"Winking" was the only game played this evening.
At 9 o'clock we went into the Church for our usual First Sunday in the Month Service. The Vicar in his sermon said the Club should have a motto.
Afterwards, Philip Roots tendered his resignation as President, as to quote his own words he is fed up with members of the Club not co-operating.
David was proposed as the new President. This was unanimously carried. Phil Roots is still the producer of the Concert.

PRESIDENT: David Hall
COMMITTEE: The same as before.

Rehearsals again-this time they went much better than before-everyone is now more enthusiastic and co-operative in every respect. The Club is now once again a real joy. However, the Vicar is rather disappointed in us as he says it is a Christian Youth Club and he wants all of us to go to Church or Chapel-quite rightly so!
"Murder" was played and we finished this week with our service taken by the Vicar.

MINUTES 20TH DECEMBER 1945

This evening we got well on with the rehearsals, about two thirds of the programme is now almost perfect. Parts for the play "The Warming Pan" have still got to be properly learnt, but nevertheless everything will be perfect before the night of the Concert.
We played one or two games including "Blind Man's Buff" with the added attraction of forfeits.
The service ended the proceeding at about 10pm-much later than usual.
Tomorrow evening the Club is going to Quorn Y.P.F.'s party.

Rehearsals again-"my", says the reader "this concert should be good!" We hope it will be and judging by the enthusiasm it should be!
After the prayers we played games truly in the Christian manner-under the mistletoe bough!
