MINUTES 7TH DECEMBER 1944
Rehearsals for the concert-social comprised the whole programme. I think that it will be a success. We have invited several discharged soldiers and they have all accepted.
A programme for the next few weeks has been arranged:-
Dec 12th. 7.30 Rehearsal for the Concert; Club Room.
Dec 14th. 7.0 Rehearsal for the Concert; Club Room.
Dec 16th. 6.30 The Social; Village Hall.
Dec 21st. 7.0 Youth Club Party in the Village hall.
Dec 28th. 7.0 Ordinary Youth Club meeting and Re-election.
The evening finished with the service, as usual.

MINUTES 14TH DECEMBER 1944
No proper meeting was held this week. Nevertheless two rehearsals were held, one on Tuesday from 7.30 to 9.15 and another on Thursday from 7.0-8.0. Also during the week, members have been painting the scenery and arranging the programme etc. There is yet another rehearsal on Saturday afternoon in the Village Hall.
To-morrow night (Friday) the Club has been invited to a party by Quorn Youth Club. Our party is now on Fri. 22nd and Quorn Youth Club have been invited.

MINUTES 16TH DECEMBER 1944
ROTHLEY YOUTH CLUB
CONCERT-SOCIAL for the DISCHARGED SOLDIERS
This was held in the Village Hall from 7.15-10.30.
We began with the Concert part of the show:
Bill, Bob and John singing "Dark Town Strutter's Ball" looking like three men of society returning from a "bottle party".
John gave two of his Stanly Holloway monologues.
Joan sang "Waltz of my Heart"
John was the "Comedian" and Selwyn the "Stooge" in an amusing sketch entitled "Emigration".
"Ticker" as the "Comedian" starred in another sketch entitled "An American Bar"-with-Bob ("Bar-tender"), Philip ("Crook"), Pat and June ("Sophisticated gals"), Bill ("Business man") and John ("Telegraph boy" Four words only!))
Winnie sang "Smiling Through".
Joan and Bob sang "Fold Your Wings"
"Hawaii" gave us Peggy, Winnie and Iris as three "Hawaiian dames" with Philip and Bryan playing their guitars.
"Widdicombe Fair" Geoff, Philip, "Ticker", Bob, Selwyn and John as "Zummerzet yokels" amusingly dressed, singing the song.
Geoff compered most of the show; with Bill announcing the last item and the refreshments to which came after it.
Barbara played the piano accompaniment with Joan playing for the first item.
Our thanks go to Bryan and his gallant troupe of pirates for the scenery a "Hawaiian shore". This was put up before the show and was the scenery for all the items.
After the refreshments games were played-these ranged from "Bigamy" to "Passing the Slipper". There was also some dancing. Geoff was the M.C.
The Vicar said a few words about the Social-Concert as did Philip who told us that Mr. Osborne, who is paying for the refreshments, was unable to come.
Finally, we are indebted to Mr. Dennis Fields for lending us his radio-gram and some gramophone records.

MINUTES 21ST DECEMBER 1944
To begin with the Clubites discussed the party being held to-morrow.
Then we played "hand rugby"-always popular! Philip conducted a spelling -bee-for a change!
A game of "Winking" followed; of course we played it the correct way with kissing!
Philip took a short service and a carol-in the absence of the Vicar.
A committee meeting ended an enjoyable evening. We completed the programme for the party.

MINUTES 22ND DECEMBER 1944
ROTHLEY YOUTH CLUB PARTY
VISITORS-QUORN Y.P.F.
The party commenced at 7.30 with the Grand Old Duke of York and ended at 11.0 with Auld Lang Syne. It was held in the Village Hall which had been decorated with holly and mistletoe by our Club.
During the evening all kinds of games were played. "Postman's Knock", "Winking", "Musical Knees", "Bigamy" and "Passing the Tube" being a few.
There were also dances intermingled with the games. At 9.0 we had supper. As many people as possible bringing as much food as possible! There was plenty to go round!
It was, to say the least, a very enjoyable evening.
Again, we are indebted to Mr. Fields for lending us his radiogram and some records.
