Private 13095862 Reginald Hall

Pioneer Corps.

Died on the 17th September 1944 aged 33 years. Private Reginald Hall was discharged from the Pioneer Corps on the 17th September 1943 as a result of 'ceasing to fulfil army physical requirements'. He died of Tuberculosis in the Groby Road Isolation Hospital, Leicester, believed to have been picked up whilst clearing dead bodies from Cardiff Docks.

Son of George Harry and Emma Hall of Rothley and husband of Millicent Ada Hall


He died in the Isolation Hospital, Leicester and buried in a Commonwealth War Grave on the 21st September 1944 in Rothley Cemetery, Mountsorrel Lane, Rothley. His grave inscription is 'IN PROUD MEMORY OF REG, A DEVOTED HUSBAND AND FATHER WHO DIED AS A RESULT OF MILITARY SERVICE'

Named on the War Memorial, Parish Church Triptych Roll of Honour and Parish Church Book of Remembrance.
