Died due to war operations in the Military Hospital, York, on the 30th July 1945 aged 20 years. Killed when his aircraft crashed on a night operation over England.

Buried in St. Leonard's Churchyard, Swithland, Leicestershire in a double grave with his parents Cecil Dashwood Frost and Ella Hawkins Frost. Robert's father was a Solicitor and Notary practising in Bishop Street, Leicester.

Named on Rothley War Memorial, Parish Church Triptych Roll of Honour and Parish Church Book of Remembrance. Also Swithland War Memorial.
