Cllr Dr. Roger Gross

Cllr Dr. Roger Gross

Roger is a graduate of Cambridge (MA) and London (MSc and DSc) Universities and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.

He retired and moved to Rothley in February 2013 after a long career as a scientist and later at director level in public health, mainly in London and the South East.

Although a newcomer to Rothley, Roger has formed a strong attachment to the village and enjoys walking his dog in the local parks, trout fishing at Cropston, tending his allotment (Rothley Allotment Holders Association) and having a pint and chat in the 'Woodies'. He is divorced but loves spending time with his three grown-up children. Roger has no particular political attachments and would simply like to see the quality of life in Rothley maintained and improved.

Roger is a member of the Planning Committee and the Finance Committee and became Vice Chair of Rothley Parish Council in May 2016.

On behalf of the Parish Council Roger also chairs the Rothley Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group

Roger was appointed as a Trustee of Bartholomew Hickling Educational Foundation and Rothley Consolidated and Rev Stavely's Charities on 16th March 2020
