Killed in action on the 12th July 1918 in the France and Flanders Campaign aged 19 years.

Private Brooks is buried in the Fouquieres Churchyard Extension, Pas de Calais, France in Grave 111.H.5 . The gravestone inscription is 'GOD WITH HIS CLEARER VISION SAW HE WAS READY FOR A LARGER MINISTRY'.

Son of Arthur Edward and Margaret Elizabeth Brooks, brother to Margaret Hilda Brooks and Walter Peel Brooks and living in Rothley Road, Mountsorrel.
