Book of Remembrance, Rothley Parish Church

This small Book of Remembrance is enclosed in a glass-fronted recess within the wall panelling dedicated to Lieutenant Jack Greville Winks in the War Memorial Chapel. It commemorates those who died 1939-1945. The pages never need turning.

The north chapel of this church was further embellished by the addition of oak panelling and a parclose screen, the gifts of Mr. and Mrs. H.E.Winks and were completed in the year 1947.

These gifts were made in memory of their son, Lieut. Jack Greville Winks.

This was the first time that the Book of Remembrance had been opened in 69 years

With thanks to Rothley Parish Church for allowing access to the pages of this Book of Remembrance
