This is a lovely lane leading down to Swithland Reservoir Dam with the parish boundary limit just at the start of the old Buddon Wood.
If you continue along Kinchley Lane you come to the Swithland Water Treatment Works, along the road to Rabbits Bridge over the Great Central Railway and finally emerges as a track on the road to Woodhouse and Old Woodhouse.
The area of the lane within Rothley Parish is tree lined with good verges. One Oak Tree 590 has a girth of 4.6m. Other trees need to be recorded.
